Beyond Blue tell us 1 in 8 men will have depression, and 1 in 5 will experience anxiety at some stage in their lives.
We encourage you to talk about your stress, and to share your worries with someone new. Men are less likely to experience depression or anxiety than women, but they’re often slower to seek help, if at all – and 75 per cent of suicides in Australia each year, are men.
If you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, it’s ok to say so. It’s not a weakness, and there’s effective help available.
